Offline Mode

Offline mode filters your library for albums, playlists, and songs that are downloaded on your device. This allows you to listen to your music with less need for an internet connection.

Note

Some data use may continue while in offline mode. Partially downloaded albums or playlists may show a mix of downloaded and streaming tracks. Searching and playing from the Apple Music catalog will also use data.

Enable Offline Mode

Navigate to Hi-Fi → → Offline Mode.

Download Options

Files must be downloaded to your device from outside of Hi-Fi.

There are two ways to download music for offline listening:

1. Download via the Apple Music app; or
2. Sync music files from your Mac or PC.

Download with Apple Music

With an Apple Music subscription, you can download music for offline listening.

1. Launch Apple Music.
2. Browse to the music you want to download.
3. Tap the icon, then Download.

Sync from Mac or PC

Music files can be synced onto your iPhone or iPad from a Mac or PC. Files that are synced this way are stored on your device and are automatically ready for offline mode.
